Ben Duffy is a director and editor who has bled filmmaking for the past 17 years of his life.  Starting off at a young age making skate videos with his best friends in driveways, he now is a filmmaker with 10 documentaries under his belt, 4 of which are full length features.

We Are Skateboarders, Ben’s most acclaimed published film became one of the highest viewed feature length skateboard documentaries on YouTube.   Though Ben found success and ease within the Skate world of documentaries, he decided to take a different route within his career.  Instead, he chose to diversify his portfolio and tap into a community of people who are never fully seen; fully heard. Using only crowdfunding campaigns as a financial source to carry him through, Ben created Amazon Prime featured documentaries such as Heart Child and Tin Soldiers which focus on autism and the world of disabled people as professional athletes.

Following the completion of these films, as well as Street Boy, which highlights the skate legend Anders Nordlow, Ben was tempted to retire his camera, feeling as if his passion had come to a dead end.  Serendipitously, while Ben was producing short videos for a company called Yooocan that highlighted ways to help people with disabilities, one of the subjects he was interviewing gave him his next idea.   This led Ben to produce and direct Take A Look At This Heart, coming out November, 2019.

Always looking for the next big project through inspiration, Ben is now working on I Do Not Blame Myself, a docu-series that focuses on mental illness.  Ever changing and always evolving, Ben looks to continuously collaborate on new ideas, and is always open to work on projects that fuel his soul and creativity.
